ABOUT The ROBBIE DEAN CEntre
About Us
The Robbie Dean Centre was founded by Robbie's mother, Monique, following the tragic loss of her son to suicide. Established in June 2013, with the support of the Ottawa Valley Rotary Clubs, our Centre is a community-funded charity dedicated to bridging gaps in mental health services in Renfrew County.
Driven by a vision of hope and healing, we collaborate with local organizations to develop tailored programs addressing the evolving needs of our communities. Our Centre is dedicated to honoring Robbie's memory by ensuring no one faces their mental health struggles alone.

About Robbie Dean
For Robbie Dean, growing up in Renfrew County meant going to a small high school, having best friends since childhood, working a part-time job, having a girlfriend and a pick-up truck, and spending countless hours riding a snowmobile. However, at 17 years old he also became more and more depressed and feeling unworthy and hopeless. This was the beginning of a year-long struggle, looking for answers, solutions, and support.
Robbie’s life was marked by the challenges of battling depression in a rural community with limited mental health resources. Despite the love of his family, Robbie tragically lost his battle in August 2011, just months after his 18th birthday.
His story inspires our commitment to closing gaps in mental health services and providing comprehensive support to those in need. Through our work, we strive to honor Robbie's memory by advocating for a community where mental health is prioritized and everyone feels empowered to seek help.
