SUICIDE PREVENTION & CRISIS CLINICS

We are here for you!
Together, we will make it through this.

We don’t say this lightly. We mean it when we say it.
Our caring staff has helped several hundred Renfrew county people through this journey over the past few years.

The Robbie Dean Centre will give you the help that you need.
We are here for you and we will not let you go until we know that you are safe and have a plan.

Walk-in Clinic for immediate support

The walk-in clinics are meant to provide immediate support to families and/or individuals in distress or crisis.  We do this by providing a variety of services which can include:

  • Risk assessment
  • Suicide Prevention and Intervention Services
  • Post Suicide family de-briefing
  • Self-Injury prevention and Intervention
  • Safety Planning
  • Crisis De-escalation
  • Coping strategies for the individual in crisis
  • Coping strategies for the family members
  • Short term, goal oriented counselling
  • Parent support and intervention
  • Education for parents
  • System Navigation
  • Referral to other services, as needed.

What to Expect when you attend the Clinic

When you come in the building, you are greeted by a receptionist.  Please let her know that you are attending the Robbie Dean walk-in clinic.  She will give you a couple of sheets to fill out while you are sitting in the waiting room.  These sheets give the staff your contact information, your demographic information and a very brief overview of why you are here.

After you have completed the intake sheets, one of the Counsellors will come and get you.  The Counsellor will go through the intake with you then will determine what we can do to help you.

You do not need to be referred by anyone to attend the clinic.  You can come on your own or if you wish to bring someone, that is great too.

We will work with individuals but also families, friends or groups.

All services provided by the Robbie Dean Centre are free of charge and accessible to anyone.
