Stress Management Peer Support Group
Do you ever feel like things have become way too overwhelming or that you just wish you had someone to talk to about things that are bothering you? Well, this is what this group is about. It is a place to share and vent without worrying about being judged or ridiculed. It is a place where you can talk with someone who has an outside perspective and who will reflect with you about what is causing you stress.
Paul, the facilitator, is not a professional, he is a man who has survived alcoholism, PTSD, grief and depression. His journey combined with his positive outlook on life and his willingness to help others make him a wonderful resource to people who just need to vent and share. Paul says: “ I try to encourage people to talk because it’s not good to keep things bottled up inside and sometimes just hearing your own words come out brings a sense of relief and hope”.
The group meets on Thursdays from 7:00-9:00 pm. The meetings are at The Robbie Dean Centre (315 Pembroke Street East) which offers a safe and confidential environment to come and spend time with folks who, just like you, are learning to manage stress.
