Monique Yashinskie is Robbie’s mum, the founder and administrator of the Robbie Dean Family Counselling Centre (RDFCC).
“The Robbie Dean Centre was born out of my grief. I wanted to do something to ensure other families in Renfrew County would not have to struggle so hard to get help.”
She has lived in Renfrew County for twenty-five years, with over thirty years of office administrative experience, most of which has been in the public service. Under the mentorship of the West Champlain Health Community Corporation, and with the support of many volunteers, staff and champions, she was able to establish the RDFCC as a not for profit charity with satellite offices in five communities across Renfrew County. With no government funding, and through continuous fund-raising activities, the RDFCC offers various mental health support programs including walk-in clinics.
