Julie has her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Health Studies from Queen’s University (1999) and followed up with a diploma in Behavioural Science in 2000.
In 2002, she became a licenced paramedic and has worked as a Primary Care Paramedic in Renfrew County for the past 13 years.
In 2015, she completed a diploma in Trauma and Addictions Recovery, and she is working on a Masters in Counselling Psychology.
Julie is a certified instructor of Mental Health First Aid.
She also works as a Member Facilitator for the Canadian Union of Public Employees, where she delivers courses including Mental Health in the Workplace and Stewarding Skills.
She started volunteering at the Robbie Dean Centre in 2014.
